近日 WhatsApp 似乎正在測試新功能，允許用戶將 WhatsApp 聊天記錄轉移至新的電話號碼。
WhatsApp 稱為了讓用戶能在購買新電話時都能輕鬆方便地把聊天記錄快速轉移，將會在未來的更新中加入這項友善的措施，更補充不只是文字上的記錄能夠轉移，連媒體檔案也能一併解決。WhatsApp 指這項新的記錄轉移功能並不能隨時隨地使用，只有在用戶選擇與新電話連結的時候才能運作。(如下圖所示)
WhatsApp 表示尚未開始在 Android，iOS 和 Beta 版上進行聊天記錄遷移，於稍後時間 WhatsApp 會推出新的 Beta 版本供各方人士測試，惟現時未能確定確實的時間。
