數日前已為大家報道過 Windows Store 的應用數量已超越了 20,000 大關，年底前有望可以倍增，根據統計資料顯示，原來更早已超越 Mac App Store，增長迅速。
Windows 8 推出一個多月，不少應用開始陸續上架，初推出時已有萬多款應用可以下載，其中免費的佔大多數。從 10 月 22 日至 11 月 21 日的統計數據中見到，目前 Mac App Store 的應用數量只有 12,998，比起 Windows RT 及 Windows 8 的應用少近 1 萬，Windows RT 是一個新的平台，也有近 20,000 應用可以下載。
其實舊有的 Windows 應用只要略為修改已可以迎合 Windows 8，而 Windows 應用本身比起 Mac 多數以百倍，所以迅速超越 Mac App Store 也是正常。不過 Windows Store 內有多少應用真是實用？還是 Mac App Store 「貴精不貴多」？話雖如此，事實上 Windows Store 的確有較多選擇。
