Download.com長久以來，一直是試用版軟件和免費軟件的集中地，有很長的歷史。不過，最近有人發現，這個老牌的下載網站，也好像開始墮落了。上月，有人在Download.com下載軟件時，發現所有的軟件也被同一個安裝程式包裝，需要用家使用該程式去下載原先想下載的軟件。
這個安裝程式，基本上是無害的，但在安裝過程中，會詢問用家要不要一併安裝Babylon Toolbar，並把Babylon設定為首頁和預設搜尋引擎，雖然用家可以取消選擇，但很多只會不斷按「Next」的朋友就會因此中招。這明顯是一個廣告軟件，甚至有人表示這當中可能有木馬程式。除了Download.com外，與它相關的CNet / ZDNet / CBS Interactive也有同樣的情況。各位在下載軟件時，也要留意一下，盡量找些直接下載的連結，和不要亂按「Next」了。
