於即將推出的 iOS 5 中，新增了 Newsstand 功能，可以讓出版商於此將電子版報紙或雜誌，提供訂閱服務。例如 The Daily、Popular Science 等，就如當時 iBooks 一樣。不過，香港用戶可能會覺得屆時的選擇不多，所以普遍都沒有太在意這項功能。但原來香港 Apple 對此功能於香港的發展相當看重，於日前更邀請本地的主要出版商，講解使用 Newsstand 用來處理電子出版有何好處。而小編亦問了幾位到場的朋友，皆表示會積極考慮。所以，iOS 5 推出時大家可能可以用來訂閱本地雜誌了。
