一直盛傳 Apple 將會推出一台 tablet PC，最近有消息指將於 10月推出。據 VentureBeat 的消息人士更透露，該機將會由早前收購的 PA Semi 團隊設計處理器，讓成本可以控制得更好，並與外界分享更少的架構技術資料。據悉該機不會以 Acer 跟 Asus 一類 Netbook 生產商作正面對手，因為 Apple Tablet 將會是一部高階的全觸控多媒體娛樂裝置，並非主攻上網用途。
