今年 Facebook 以 10 億美元天價收購 Instagram，令這家只有 13 名員工的公司一夜致富。原來在 Facebook 收購前，Twitter 曾經開價 5.25 億美元，最後交易告吹。
根據 New York Times 的報道指出，Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom 曾經口頭應承 Twitter 的 5.25 億美元收購價，但最後 Systrom 單方面終止了交易，隨後就見到 Facebook 以 10 億美元收購 Instagram 的消息出現。
自 Instagram 被 Facebook 收購後，Twitter 與 Instagram 的關係愈來愈差，月前 Instagram 更將相片 分享至 Twitter 的功能關閉，而 Twitter 也推出了自家的相片濾鏡設計。就以相片分享平台而言，暫時 Instagram 確實最為成功，難怪 Facebook 也以高價搶購。
