除了 MSN 外，Facebook Messenger 也是不少用家與朋友談天說地的好地方。目前 Facebook 已有基本的通訊功能，但 Mozilla 將更進一步，直接將其整合到瀏覽器上，可在瀏覽其他網頁時仍然可以使用 Facebook 的部分功能。
Mozilla 在最新的 Firefox 17 上加入了 Socket API 支援，可以在瀏覽器旁邊以 Facebook Messenger 與朋友通話，並可以見到 Facebook 的各項通知及更新提示，不需要必定要開啟 Facebook 網站才會見到，的確方便不少用家。不過對於小編來說可有可無，因為 Facebook 是長期開啟的，要瀏覽其他網頁可以另外 Tab 繼續瀏覽，最重要的是，沒有太多朋友有使用 Facebook Messenger 的習慣。
