網站Google Plus Ghosts專門追蹤Google員工在Google+的活躍狀況，網站在Google+找到超過2,000名宣稱在Google工作的帳號，發現Google員工對公司的社交網絡並不熱忱。網站的分析員認為，Google員工的投入度強差人意，連員工都沒有登入的興致，怎能吸引一般用戶呢？
Google的發言人則指，數據並未有將大量非對外公開的狀態更新數字加入，數據並不準確。
