日前 Google 宣布推出新款的 32GB 及 3G 版本 Nexus 7 平板，32GB Wi-Fi 型號更以相同價錢取代 16GB 版本，不過不同地區的做法原來會是不同，台灣 ASUS 就宣布其 16GB 版本 Nexus 7 並不會降價，取而代之全面升級至 2 年保養服務，價值 NT$2,600。
在台灣地區的 Nexus 7，在外國購買也能夠享有 1 年保養服務，16GB 版本的台灣定價是 NT$8,990，兌換美元約為 308 美元，連同稅項仍然比起美國購買的要貴，與香港相同。今次 ASUS 宣布將 Nexus 7 平板的保養年期改為 2 年，已購買的用家也能受惠，但新用家就只能以比起 32GB 版本 249 美元還要貴的價錢購買 16GB 版本，有意購買的用家可能需要在外國網站訂購會更為化算，至於香港地區暫時未有任何公布。
