去年 Samsung 在 10 月時推出了 GALAXY R，它雖不是 GALAXY S II 或 GALAXY Note 那些旗艦機種，但亦是不少人選購的機種之一，近日 Samsung 雖推出多款新機，但並沒有忘記一眾舊有用家，繼續為他們提供系統或軟件更新，近日 GALAXY R 就是受惠機種之一。
Samsung 為 GALAXY R 用家提供更新，用家可透過 KIES 進行更新，而更新前別忘了先備份當中的資料，更新部份包括將系統升級至 Android 4.0.4、新增臉容解鎖功能、新增藍牙 mobile AP、更新撥號介面及 Google Map 應用程式、改善 Samsung 中文輸入法和移除 IM 應用程式。
