早前已有傳聞Microsoft新一代Xbox遊戲機會於明年初出現，但一直未有確實的推出日期，規格也未有定案。但日前已有傳聞指其代號為”Durango”的Xbox已經開始生產，為下月的E3遊戲展作準備。
據可靠消息指，生產商Flextronics已經在美國德州的工廠內試產，相信只是生產部分工程樣本機器為各大遊戲廠商作展示準備。早前已有傳聞Durango將會採用AMD新一代Radeon HD 6000系列作為圖形處理核心，但上月另有消息指Durango會採用IBM的16線程的4核心POWER7處理器配搭Radeon HD 7000顯示核心，還會有Blu-ray光碟機配備，雖然最終規格仍是未知之數，但現在已經試產很大機會也會是最終規格，並會在E3上發布。
