雖然LTE 4G網絡在香港仍未普及，但即將推出的的iPad 3，據稱將會加入對LTE網絡的支援，在美國Verizon和AT&T都可以支援到。如果偵測不到有LTE網絡，則會自動轉換到較慢的網絡。
這個消息是來自華爾街日報，有一定的可信性，雖然Apple不似是會走在科技的尖端，採用還未普及的科技，但說不定自Steve Jobs離開Apple之後，方針都有所改變。另一方面，亦有消息指Apple將會在3月7日公佈iPad 3。如果這些消息屬實，3月可能就會出現另一次的炒機潮，不知今次又會有什麼讓人Wow一下的功能，可以讓iPad繼續稱霸Tablet市場呢？
