Amazon的Kindle Fire，作為他們首部彩色Tablet，的確是一鳴驚人。它不是與iPad來個正面競爭，從重視電子書的介面和功能上就能看出，但作為消費者，大概也想比較一下Kindle Fire和iPad 2，尤其是只想用來看電子書的朋友們。
把Kindle Fire、iPad 2和Kindle Fire的直接競爭對手：Nook Color拍在一起比較，不難發現原來Kindle Fire的硬件配備，跟iPad 2差不多，而Nook Color更是完敗。最厲害的是Kindle Fire的價格非常便宜，比Nook Color還便宜50美元，雖然Kindle Fire的系統，是Amazon改裝過的Android，但想也知道，Cyanogen Mod的高手們，已經準備好要把它變成另一部抵玩的Android Tablet了。
