雖然手機的相機功能已愈來愈完善，可以調控多方面的設定，亦已內置濾鏡功能，不過要拍出某些效果，仍然需要 App 的協助。《CameraX》可以連拍四張照片，中間會有最多 10 秒的間隔，然後合成為一張四格照片，儲存在 SD 卡或內置記憶體的 CameraX 目錄中。不過程式未支援相機的對焦功能，拍攝距離太近可能會令影像模糊。另外由於程式剛推出，所以在設定中的部份功能如排列格式、色彩特效等仍未開放，要等待更新版本。
