AirPlay作為Apple的技術，雖然不是十分普及，但漸漸的也有越來越多的裝置支援。雖然是Apple的東西，但也不代表只有Apple裝置才能支援這個音樂串流標準。最近Thomas Pleasance就推出了一個App，能讓AirPlay與Windows Media Center連動，在PC上裝進Bonjour後就可以從iPad或iPhone之上串流影片或圖片到PC（音樂暫不支援），也不再需要iTunes了。
