電訊管理局昨日(周日) 公佈的一項對全球七個城市的調查發現，香港住戶與商業用戶所支付的電訊費用最便宜，低至其他城市的十分之一。調查的城市包括 哥本哈根、倫敦、紐約、上海、新加坡和東京。調查內容包括 固定及流動話音服務、固定及流動寬頻服務、專用線路和收費電視服務的價格。

以固網話音服務為例，一般香港住宅用戶所繳付約60港元月費，只相等於其他6個城市的用戶所繳付費用的8％至45％。香港除了收費最便宜外，在寬頻接駁及服務質素也位居世界前列。根據光纖到戶議會於2010年9月發表的報告指，香港光纖到戶的滲透率達34%，全球排行第三位。
