有幾個討論區傳出消息，新的 iPhone4 已經使用 iOS 4.0.2 ，由於要 Jailbreak 的關係這些機主大膽地嘗試將它降至 4.0.1 再進行 Jailbreak 竟然成功！步驟如下 :
Step1 :
使用 Web Browser <在此右按> 選 “Save Link As”

Step 2:
把 iPhone 進入 DFU 模式

Step3 :
接上 iTunes 後按 Shift + 回復，並選擇剛才的 IPSW 檔案

Step4:
成功取出 iPhone ，重啟後再用 iTunes 進行激活

without SHSH data saved from 4.0.1, how can you downgrade from 4.0.2?
Downgrade iOS version has been asked so many times by many people, just google it.
When you try to “restore” using 4.0.1, itune will give you error message. Restore can only be done with latest version of iOS, which means 4.0.2 as of today.
Incorrect.
Apple still not yet closed 4.0.1 SHSH signing.
Which means, Apple is signing both 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 SHSH now.
Just directly downgrade with the 4.0.1 firmware is okay.
PS: of course, we don’t know when will 4.0.1 SHSH be stopped signing, Apple can close it anytime, so backup 4.0.1 SHSH now !

You should make sure you have signed your SHSH via Saurik Cydia server…
this can be done by launching Cydia home screen
If it doesn’t say you have SHSH for 4.0/4.0.1/4.0.2, you should NEVER attempt to upgrade/downgrade whatsoever
