iPad 的9.7 吋IPS LCD 顯示效果好是人所共知，除了用作睇相如果還能繪圖就完美了。但作為繪圖板必需能感應用者的下筆力道，而iPad 本身是不設筆壓感應的。可是外國一間公司就成功讓iPad 做到這一點。
根據該公司的博客，他們打算將此技術以軟體程式庫的形式免費提供，讓任何app 都可以調用。但由於技術中調用了非公用函數，不符合Apple 的要求，短期內大家都不可能在 App Store 內找到相關的 apps，除非Apple 以後更新UIKit 的framework 加入需要的資料吧。
除了可以做到筆壓感應外，這項技術的應用還包括在繪圖時排除來自手掌、手指的輸入。大家不妨看看下面由官方提供的影片。
