Intel Atom平台的效能表現雖然並不理想，不過功耗方面卻相當不錯，新一代的Atom平台更將處理器及圖像晶片整合，日前外國的HardwareZone就展示Asus首款配備Atom N450(Pineview)處理器的機種 – Eee PC 1008P。
機身外殼顏色及花紋，本身由設計師Karim Rashid製作，雖然會有啡色版本，不過我相信男生不會喜歡…處理器採用Atom N450，時脈為1.8GHz，1GB記憶體及160GB硬碟系統方面配備Windows 7，由於處理器已經跟圖像晶片結合，因此各位不用期待能夠配合Nvidia ION平台。
電池方面據知跟現役的1008HA相同，10″的屏幕與及鍵盤沒有特別，機身方面為縮減體積，特別將VGA端子的部份改為採用mini-USB，連接的時候必須使用專用接駁器。目前知道將會在明年1月舉行的CES中展示。
