假若不是外國的傳媒報導，相信各位也不會留意Apple Store的員工，最近換上一款全新的電子收銀機 – EasyPay Touch，它是利用iPod Touch配合專用組件而成。目前並不清楚EasyPay Touch的生產商資料，不過這個類似機座的組件，內置條碼掃描器、銀行刷卡器及專用操作系統，小巧的機身已經完全整合收銀機的功能。
當然，能夠成為新聞重點，並非因為設計或者iPod Touch的關係，而是沿於早期的收銀系統，原來一直採用Symbol Technologies公司提供的Windows CE，由於不少店員批評系統操作緩慢(兼有死機的情況)，所以才會有EasyPay Touch的誕生。Apple到底會否開拓新的渠道，日後向便利店及超巿提供EasyPay Touch，搶攻傳統的收銀機巿場?
