Android 2.0終於在日前發佈，各位機主還在研究新功能的時間，Google再次投出一個重磅的炸彈，一款完全免費的GPS導航程式 – Google Maps Navigation。這款程式未來將會預載在Android 2.0系統之上，目前仍然處於「Beta」測試階段，暫時未知能否配合舊款的Android手機運作，可能需要手機製造商及網絡商的配合方能使用。
Google Maps Navigation擁有標準的GPS導航功能，並且擁有3D化的視野介面，自動重新選取路徑及語音搜索功能，並且緊密緊合Google Maps的資訊，提供實時的交通狀態與及衛星圖像與Street View效果，然而服務本身需要配合網絡運作，因此其數據流量可能會相當驚人。目前，Google已經表示未來有意將程式，移植至相近的iPhone平台之上。
