幾經辛苦才把 iPhone OS 3.1 給 Jailbreak 了，Apple 便迅即推出 3.1.2 更新，讓不少用戶感到措手不及，幸得外國高手George Hotz推出 blackra1n 方案，可以支援最新 3.1.2 的 iPhone 及 iPod Touch 系列，當中包括 iPhone 3Gs。
中文輸入法支援情況
老實說，今時今日 AppStore 的軟件齊全，加上 iPhone OS 功能愈來愈完善，要 Jailbreak 的「理由」已經變得接近零， 只餘下「中文輸入法」的老問題。故此香港用戶如果要用中文輸入法，又得更新 3.1.2 時，無可避免仍要 Jailbreak，不過現有輸入法是否支援 3.1.2 亦是問題所在。經 Honeybee 的測試發現，iAccess 能正常執行，而免費的 iCosta 亦可順利過關。
64bit Windows 要小心
如果大家是用 64bit Windows 的版本的話就要留意了！Honeybee 在本人那部裝有 64bit Windows Vista 的電腦上，於破解途中出現停滯問題，致破解失敗。後轉到 32bit 版本的 Windows 7 電腦上方能成功，及後亦在 32bit 的 Windows Vista 上同樣成功「越獄」。所以 Honeybee 在此建議大家最好還是用 32bit 版本的 Windows 為妙。

blackra1n 的用法比之前的 Jailbreak 方法來得簡單，沒有繁複的 step-by-step，按一下掣便可完成了。以下是 Honeybee 由 3.1 升級到 3.1.2 Jailbreak 的實戰過程：
Step 1：打開 iTunes，在 iPhone Device right click，選擇 backup，以防過程中遺失資料。
Step 2：以正常途徑 update 至 3.1.2 版本。
Step 3：連上 iPhone 執行 blackra1n，打開 blackra1n 軟件，然後按下 make it ra1n 的按鍵。此時程式會把用戶的 iPhone 啟動至「Recovery Mode」，當程式介面轉為「Running」時便代表 blackra1n 正在上載 Jailbreak 的所需檔案。
Step 4：當出現以下訊息時，只要等待 iPhone 重新啟動便完成了，之後可以拔除連線。
Step 5：在 iPhone 程式畫面中會多了一個名為 blackra1n 程式，執行它。
Step 6：程式中有提供 Cydia、Rock 及 Icy 程式安裝工具給用家安裝，大家可因應自己的習慣選擇安裝。
