Sony VAIO X終於正式上巿，超薄輕巧的機身無論怎樣吸引，大概也不及$1,300美元身價來得震撼，雖然售價方面確實比起 MacBook Air與Adamo仍然有差距，不過硬件配備也有著不短的距離，或許廠方也明白這個問題，因此官方網站以相當隱晦的方式描述，好像「2GHz Intel® Processor」+「533Mhz FSB」輕輕帶過Intel Atom Z550，實在…假若以$1,300美元的價錢換來 這樣的硬件規格，實在很難讓人有購買的意慾。
